Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School

For the past couple of years I've been traveling to Great Scott, in Allston, for life drawing sessions at the Boston Branch of Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School. These drawing sessions started in NYC, but now have branches all over the world. I feel very fortunate to have one close-ish to me. The sessions are great fun and feature some fabulous models. I've drawn models in drag, burlesque dancers, a contortonist, dominatrixes and even a few musicians who played music for us, while they posed. It is a great, welcoming, non-judgemental group with artists from all over and with a wide range of skill levels.

There are some artists there who can bang out finished, amazing drawings in a short amount of time.  I'm always a bit in awe of those people. My finished drawings are always still a bit rough at the end, but I often times will take those home and create more finished drawings, in color later.
